done in the comfort of your own home. This service is offered in conjunction
with Dr. Stephen Barker and Associates. Cogmed is for children and adults who
are hampered by their working memory function, for various reasons including
individuals who have struggled with attention and learning all their lives such
as ADHD or Learning Disabilities, those who have suffered from brain injury, or
stroke, and people who struggle to focus due to the normal effects of aging, or
because of increased cognitive demands. 80% of those who complete Cogmed
training see significant and lasting benefits. For more information about this
program and the benefits it can offer your patients, please go to www.cogmed.com.
Workshops can be tailored for small or large groups of
individuals such as front line staff or parents and can include topics such as
maximizing your resources, cultural sensitivity; managing behavior, healthy
eating, and helping children build self-esteem.
There is no need for
a referral, although I currently receive many referrals from family doctors,
psychiatrists and pediatricians. The best referrals come from my clients
themselves who recommend me to family, friends and colleagues.
