3. I am a visual artist and I have been teaching art since I finished my degree in Fine Arts in my home town (Mexico City). The reason I teach is because I like to share my knowledge and I love to see the product of my students creative mind.
   
4. In ART on Hixon St. STUDIO we teach painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and History of Art to children, teens and adults.
   
5. Being my own boss is a very rewarding and fruitful experience. Is a 24/7 job but it is MINE!
   
6. An advice for new entrepreneurs will be to always believe in yourself, follow your intuition and although things some times may get a bit complicated never give up!
   
7. How do I manage family life and work? Well, women are gifted and we can always multitask!

   After 20 years in an office I decided that it was time for a new challenge. Knowing nothing about ecommerce I opened PetitePosh and found out that it was harder than I thought, quite the learning curve. I took some online courses, spoke to people, and after a
   few redesigns Petite Posh has definitely become my passion. Petite Posh is
   constantly evolving. I opened Petite Posh with 35 products, we are now
   showcasing over 95 products.
   
4. What does your company do? Petiteposh.com offers great baby & big kid
   items from nursery decor to dollhouses and play kitchens.
   
5. What's the best thing about being your own boss? Loving what I am doing
   and knowing that my customer service is the best there is because I care.
   
6. What advice can you give to entrepreneurs that are starting out? Make
   sure you have investigated your idea thoroughly before leaping. That was my
   biggest obstacle, I tend to leap.
   
7. How do you manage family life and work? My hours are my own, I can work
   early and late. It can get a bit hectic but it is well worth it.
   
8. Where do you see yourself in 10 years time? Hopefully I will be a
   situation where I can give back to the community. I would love to be able
   to give to children in need. Right now being my own boss allows me to do
   some volunteer work with my dog. I had her evalutated to be a therapy dog
   and we work with an Autism class and a community class. In the future I
   would love to be able to do more.

   My best advice is to research your field extensible first! Know the market place, know what the others are doing, charging and try to be completely different form the rest. Be creative with your marketing. Put your own branding and personal touch into your business. Make a business plan; Set yourself timelines. Have a social media presence, such as Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin. Network as much as possible, have fun and be creative!
   
7. How do you manage family life and work?
   It is not easy!!! I have a very supportive family so it helps a lot! I also delegate a lot and ask for help as much as possible. It is also important to define your working hours with your clients.
   
8. Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?
   As a very creative person with flowing ideas it is very hard to say what I’m going to think of next! I definitely want to grow my business and plan to start my own line of soft furnishing for the home and children’s bedrooms.
