Pick up time: 1:30 pm

Day 1, SCULPTURE with clay.

The students will work in two or projects

A) Create an imaginary animal (Mexican alebrije),

B) Create a footwear.

Day 2, PAINTING with oil paint on canvas. A Flower bouquet, Baroque style.

Day 3, PHOTOGRAPHY.

The students will work in two projects:

A) learn how to use a SLR pro camera (we have this camera in the Studio) and professional lighting to make self portraits.

B) Outdoor creative photography, using a small camera or a smart phone (brought from home) the student will learn to observe nature using natural light.

Day 4, DRAWING. The student, through observation of a live object, will learn the basics of drawing with the right proportions and create volume with light and shadow using graphite.

Day 5, Color the clay sculptures and wrapping up projects.

Drama Kids Oakville — Spring Session starts March 25 - June 10

Drama Kids Oakville is launching its spring session at St. Gregory the Great (138 Sixteen Mile Drive, Oakville) with weekly evening classes for kids ages 5–12.

This high-energy program focuses on building confidence, creativity, and communication skills in a supportive environment.

What to Expect:

Engaging drama games
Creative storytelling
Movement and expression exercises
Small group scene activities that build teamwork

The emphasis isn’t on memorizing scripts. It’s about participation, skill-building, and helping children grow socially and inter-personally - all while having fun.

Orthotics
Feeling foot pain at the beginning of your day? Heel pain when you are out on your evening runs? Orthotics might be what you are looking for! Orthotics are medical devices which can be slipped into any shoe and are used to help correct any biomechanical abnormalities (think rolling in or rolling out). At BioPed, we specialize in custom orthotics for the feet and the best part is…we make them on site! This leads to fast turnaround times so we can get you back on your feet and doing more quickly. Orthotics can be made out of a variety of materials depending on what is occurring with your feet, they can be soft or hard, and can always be adjusted over time.

Compression
Do you have achiness in your legs as you get deeper into your long work day? Do you have swelling or varicosities in your legs? Compression socks are great at targeting any swelling difficulties you are having in your legs and we can do that too! In clinic we will explain what compression socks are, measure you and get you fitted. Compression socks come in all shapes and sizes…even colours! From neutral to polka dot we’ll be able to find something that matches perfectly!

Bracing
We get it, things happen. Injuries can occur but don’t let that stop you from doing the things you love. Whether it is knee osteoarthritis or even the dreaded sprained ankle, at BioPed we have braces for all of your lower limb needs. Much like an orthotic assessment, we will complete a bracing assessment to determine what brace is best for your needs. Braces can be 3-D printed and rigid or even compressive and cloth based, there are many different options out there.

Footwear
What you put on your feet is important. In clinic at BioPed we have a wide range of footwear available to suit your condition and lifestyle. Picking the right shoe is important and that’s where we can help. Having a shoe that fits properly in both the width and length department is key to keeping pain away while making your day as comfortable as possible. No matter the foot shape or size, we can always find something that fits as we even can do custom footwear!
