Chi-do Yogalates
An energizing workout for the mind, body and spirit through a combination of ancient Tibetan CHI-DO, YOGA, PILATES and MEDITATION.Chi-do Yogalates is a low-impact workout perfect for both beginner and avid athletes of all ages. There are group and private classes available.
The program consists of 7 classes that are 75 min in length. Each class consists of the following four components;
- CHI-DO is a Tibetan form of Tai-chi practiced for hundreds of years that enhances the body’s ability to develop and store Chi (life force). Combining breath with graceful movements you will build your Chi so that it can be focused throughout the session.
- In YOGA this life force is called prana and is moved through the body using breath and asana’s (postures), helping to relieve tension while improving your flexibility.
- PILATES is a form of exercise that is here used to concentrate the energy created and moved in the body during Chi-do and Yoga. Specific muscle groups are targeted to tone and strengthen the physical body.
- In the final part of the class you are lead through a MEDITATION. By quieting the mind and focusing your thoughts you will experience greater clarity in all aspects of your life.

I had plans that day to go out with my husband and I couldn't wait to see how it turned out. They only used a dryer and a round brush to style my hair. Blo stylist was so great and before I knew it I was ready to leave Blo. My hair looked amazing and so curly. It was truly a different experience for me and I was very happy with the end result. H1N1 vaccine now available to adults over 65 and children and youth through Halton Region clinics and physician offices
Starting today, the Halton Region Health Department H1N1 immunization clinics will begin offering H1N1 immunizations to individuals who are 65 years of age or older, along with children and youth five to 18 years old. Residents are encouraged to contact their physician’s office to see if the vaccine is available there.
In addition, the Region is opening a fifth immunization clinic at Mainway Arena and Community Centre in Burlington on Friday, November 13, and will offer two clinic locations over the weekend (Nov 14-15), instead of just one.
The two clinics open on the weekend will be the Halton Regional Centre, Oakville and Gary Allan High School, Burlington.
Individuals between the ages of 18-65 who do not have a chronic health condition are asked to please be patient and wait for the H1N1 immunization clinics to open to the general public–likely at the end of this month.
For pregnant women who chose to wait for the unadjuvanted vaccine, it continues to be available only at the Oakville clinic.
Depending on the supply of vaccine, clinics locations and hours may change next week. Please continue to check our website at http://www.halton.ca/ or dial 311 for updates.

Halton Region H1N1 clinics re-opening Thursday
Additional clinic for pregnant women November 11 in Oakville
The Halton Region Health Department will re-open H1N1 immunization clinics for all high priority groups Thursday, November 12.
Halton Region has received a small amount of vaccine from the federal government and will re-open the clinics to all high priority groups in all four Local Municipalities.
“We are following the direction from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care to only offer the vaccine to those who are high priority,” stated Dr. Bob Nosal, Halton Region Medical Officer of Health. ”We also are anticipating further direction from the Province as early as Thursday regarding expansion of the priority groups.”
A clinic for pregnant women who chose to wait for the unadjuvanted vaccine will be held on November 11th in Oakville at the Halton Regional Centre, 1151 Bronte Road from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The times and locations for the High Priority Clinics are:

First class begins Tuesday, Sept. 29. Weigh-in begins at 5:45 p.m. and nutrition class starts at 6:15 p.m. Classes run for approximately 45 minutes.
