The holidays are just around the corner and we are planning an exciting Holiday Event. Please mark WEDNESDAY, December 19th, 5:30PM - 8:00PM on your calendar for our CHRISTMAS PARTY. Come join us for some Pizza, Snacks, and Refreshments. We are planning a Grand Sports Extravaganza! Kids will play on the Hockey, Basketball, Soccer and Baseball Kiosks for PRIZES. We’ll also have two Hockey games in the gym; one for ages 7-10 years, and one for ages 4 to 6 years. There will be a Basketball Free-throw competition for kids of all ages! Let us know when you arrive if your child wants to participate in the Hockey game and/or Basketball Free-Throw competition. The winning Hockey team will receive a special KidSportsPlex award and a complimentary One Hour Drop-in Pass for each player. All participants in hockey and basketball receive prizes for playing. If you would like to be part of our Kris Kringle, please let us know when you arrive. You will wrap and bring in a small gift for not more than $5.00. SANTA will be here to hand them out to the kids! All kids will receive a small gift from Santa before they leave!

Please RSVP for this event by Friday, December 14th. Tickets will be on sale at the door. Admission is $10.00/child, and $5.00/adult (adult admission includes one ticket for the raffle). Additional raffle tickets can be purchased for $2.00 per ticket, or 3 for $5.00. Admission includes pizza, snacks and refreshments. Raffle tickets go into a BASKET for TWO GRAND PRIZES – 1st prize is a Private Base Hit Party Package (valued at $265.55) and 2nd prize is One FULL Week of Camp (valued at $197.75).

Bring your kids to KidSportsPlex during the School Break to have some Holiday Fun with us! There will be tons of fun Sports Games, and Holiday themed activities and prizes to keep the kids engaged and active.
LAST MINUTE SHOPPING can be a Nightmare but needs to get done at times! To accommodate parents who need care for their kids while they shop, we will be extending our opening hours to 8:00 PM the week of December 17th, Monday - Friday. Drop-off is $15 plus HST for up to 3 hours. Please call, email or drop-in to pre-register if possible.

The newly renovated Oakville based learning academy follows the developmental approach, which encompasses the whole child and the vision that children develop skills and abilities in several domain areas at the same time and at varying rates. An individual profile is created for each child and parents are involved in the development of the profile and goal
setting, which helps the teachers to create
programming that, is developmentally appropriate for their child.
“Our teachers sit down with parents
every three months to track their child’s
progress in the program,” Rainville explains.
The key curriculum components include
literacy, numeracy and the development
of learning skills required for future academic success. All the classrooms are designed to stimulate each child’s natural curiosity to learn and explore. Sensory experiences engage the
children in learning and allow them to
fully explore and understand concepts
of language, mathematics, science and
social studies.

Kidex Academy offers toddler, preschool and kindergarten programs with core French in every classroom in Oakville.

French instruction, art exploration and music are also parts of the core curriculum. To ensure the students are receiving the best possible teaching available, all of toddler and preschool teachers are extensively trained in the area of child development and are continuously expanding their knowledge through professional development and continuing education. The enriched kindergarten program is staffed with teachers with Bachelor of Education Degrees, Ontario Teacher’s College Membership, and RECE qualifications.

3. Why did you start your company?
My career really began in information technology at IBM, GE Capital and CIBC negotiating enterprise software agreements but in my 6th or 7th year with CIBC, it became clear it was really time to take stock and to follow my passion, which is helping woman to become what I've always aspired to be - confident, sexy and successful. I've always had a strong desire to be in charge - just ask my husband, and to be free to schedule my time around my priorities - children and family - which hasn't always worked out perfectly...so I created Chi-Chi Laser Studios and I'm extremely proud to be expanding into my 2nd location, but to be honest remaining small and local and still having time to enjoy my wonderful husband and family are my real aspirations - however cliche that may sound. My philosophy has always been to make certain every client on every visit to Chi-Chi enjoys the highest caliber of personal service, and my Friends that is no cliche.

4. What does your company do?
Strong confident, sexy and successful woman is what my business is about - no not human trafficking - we help woman look and feel beautiful and confident through laser cosmetic therapies and in particular through painless laser hair removal treatments.

5. What's the best thing about being your own boss?
I just love all the stress - no honestly, its to be free to schedule my time around my priorities - children and family.

6. What advice can you give to Entrepreneurs that are starting out?
Make sure your not just "me too" make sure you have a strong differentiator - whats unique to Chi-Chi Laser Studios in the market place beyond using state of the art "painless" procedures is our bed side manner, the expertise of our laser technicians (through our rigid hiring and training practices) and our philosophy to make certain every client on every visit to Chi-Chi enjoys the highest caliber of personal service - what we're not is some Groupon - esque mass production "animal factory farm" - we're competitively priced and far and away your best value in the market place - and that's become very evident since 90% of our growth is attributable to word of mouth referrals...and I would be remiss if I didn't take this opportunity to thank all of my wonderful "affectedly elegant and trendy" clients for making Chi-Chi Laser Studios successful.

7. How do you manage family life and work?
I wish I could be more helpful to your readers in this regard - but everyone assigns their own certain priority or level of importance to every activity in their lives - I guess the only advice I can give is to really "know your priorities".

8. Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?
Well lets be honest - life is what happens to you while your busy making other plans - I think that was John Lennon. My focus is here and now, as you know I'm a vegan and try to live a clean and healthy lifestyle and my dream for my family and friends and I is for abundant affluence and an optimal state of well being - and God willing in ten years I will still be around to enjoy it.
